Active Birth Workshop
This event will inspire you to dedicate time to emotionally, mentally and physically in preparing yourself for birth and parenting.
Join mother of two, Pre and post natal yoga teacher, Mindful Birth teacher trainer and certified doula, Emma Cory of The Yoga Space for an informative and relaxing afternoon learning how to have an empowered and positive birth experience.

Arm Balances of Ashtanga!
Ashtanga Yoga, from the first Surya Namaskar involves upper body weight bearing. In this workshop we will experientially discover the progressive levels of difficulty that we find in the Ashtanga arm balances from the primary, Intermediate and Third Series. This is a workshop for all levels of practitioners keen to make sure the fundamentals of your practice is correct so you can find the strength you need to approach the Arm Balances of Ashtanga!

Join Jean Byrne PhD for an exploration of the Buddhist Brahama Viharas, or divine abodes. Also know as the ‘sublime attitudes’ the Brahma Viharas are virtues that we can cultivate which have corresponding practices. We will explore what the four attitudes are and how when cultivated we begin to experience more unity, harmony and love in our life.
About Dr Jean Byrne
Jean lectured in Buddhist Philosophy at Bond University on the Gold Coast and was the course Co -orindator for the Buddhism unit at the University of Queensland as part of a studies in religion degree. She has published articles exploring the intersection of Buddhist Philosophy and Feminist Theory and is a Senior Yoga Teacher. Jean has also practiced intensively in the Zen and Vipassanna Buddhist traditions. This talk is by donation, open to everybody.Book Now
