Fierce Heart:

Denmark Silent Retreat

Are you courageous enough to be quiet?

Make the space through silence to ask questions of your mind, body and heart about what matters most. Silence holds profound revelations if you’re willing to cultivate it.

Who are we in silence, settled and connected to nature?

The world is a busy place and we are inundated with information, ideas, opinions and a barrage of constant thought. What happens if we slow down and turn our attention inwards?

The venue for this experience is a quiet pocket of pristine Karri and Tingle Forrest in Denmark, WA. Hemmed on one side by the idyllic Wilson’s inlet and surrounded by majestic trees you’ll remember how to live with an awakened, wild and joyous heart.

The journey is not without its opportunities to be courageous. To be silent, together requires we tap into a deep well of strength to enable us to show up as our wholehearted selves.

This retreat is also a digital detox.

Opportunities to be silent can often only be found in religious settings, where the body and somatic are not part of the conversation. Uniquely this retreat is led by a Senior Teacher with extensive therapeutic experience who is a registered Clinical Psychologist alongside teachers with mental health training.

It’s never too late to awaken to life.

Why silence?

Silence is revelatory. When we turn our mind inwards and minimise external distractions we cultivate an inner awareness and space unlike any other. All of the world’s spiritual and religious traditions have practices of quiet, secluded contemplation. Unlike a “yoga holiday” this journey is one which requires commitment. This retreat embodies the practice of “noble silence”. There is no talking, phones or communicating. It is a unique experience and one we think you will yearn for again.

*Please note this is not a “Vipassana retreat” movement, yoga and walking are part of the schedule and encouraged.

Your Teachers

This retreat will be led by Rob Schutze PhD and Jean Byrne PhD. Both have spent extensive periods of time in silence at meditation centers and monasteries throughout Australia, South East Asia and India. Together they weave the philosophical and practical aspects of eastern philosophy, western science in order to help support you on your individual journey.
