Why Pre & Post Natal Yoga ?

Our Pre and Post Natal Yoga programs are designed to celebrate your transition into motherhood, help you stay fit and healthy during pregnancy and while also providing the opportunity to connect with other woman on the same journey. As parents ourselves we know the importance of specialised classes during the pre and post natal period. Taught by mothers who are post graduate trained pregnancy Yoga Teachers, our programs offer yoga sequences and mindfulness techniques that will enhance your journey into motherhood, help you prepare for birth and enjoy the first months wiht your newborn. All are welcome at any stage of pregnancy. If a course has commenced you are welcome to join mid way through.


Post Natal Yoga – Tuesdays 9:45am

Following the birth of a baby women need specialist care in order to work therapeutically, develop core strength, regain the strength of the pelvic floor and to learn specific breathing and relaxation exercises to adjust to their new role as a parent. We recommend that women attend post natal yoga for a minimum of 3 months before renewing their pre baby yoga practice. This course is for postnatal mums, babies and anyone with young children (adopted /fostered etc) who find it difficult to attend a yoga class. These 10 week courses offer a flowing style of yoga, focusing on core strength, flexibility and relaxation. Beginners and experienced students will be catered for. Babies are very, very welcome in class!

Pregnancy Yoga

Saturdays 10:30am or Tuesdays 11am

Pre Natal yoga with a qualified instructor is an empowering and positive experience for women. Our instructors have undertaken specialist Pre Natal Yoga training and have studied to be Pre Natal Yoga instructors for a minnimum of 12 months, alongside further study including Childbirth Educator and Doula (birth support) training. Their training as Pre Natal Yoga teachers included an education in the philosophy of Active Birth.

Pregnancy yoga incorporates gentle stretching as well as relaxation and meditation techniques to enhance your and your baby’s well being. Yoga can help prepare expectant mothers physically mentally and emotionally for birth and can alleviate some of the discomforts of pregnancy such as backache, sciatica and digestive difficulties.

Our classes end with a cup of herbal tea, time for discussion and getting to know a community of mothers and expectant mothers.

Bookings essential and early bookings are recommended as classes are limited to 18 women and courses often book out.

Mindful Birth Workshop

This  informative workshop is open to mums to be and their birth support person who are seeking to  have a positive and conscious birth experience. Education and awareness are the keys to having an empowering birth experience and this  workshop can help prepare for this life-giving event. We encourage women at all stages of their pregnancy to attend. It will hopefully inspire women to dedicate time to mentally and physically preparing yourself for birth and mothering.
