Silent Retreats
Why Silence?
Â
We were meant to be human beings, not doings, and yet somehow our society has become obsessed with doing more and being more. Burnout, anxiety, stress, and depression are at an all-time high, and people wonder why?
Silent retreats are an opportunity to withdraw from the world and reset. A dopamine detox of sorts (not sure if this has been backed up?). Silent retreats have been known to support reduced stress, improved emotional regulation, and clearer thinking.
You may have heard of Vipassana, which is a traditional buddhist mediation technique. The retreats are usually an intensive silent meditation for 10 days or more. You are woken by a bell around 4 am and have 10 hours of meditation. Before we scare you off, don't worry, our retreats aren't as hardcore. Our goal is to make meditation accessible to

How to prepare?
Â
Once you know that you're in, there is the opportunity to prepare with our online video library or Mind Body Reset. It's a 21-day program of pranayama (breathwork), trauma-informed yoga, and meditation.Â
In addition to this, you can sign up for our 1-1 Reset to receive one-to-one support while completing the course. Rob will open psychology appointments for retreat participants leading up to, after and during the retreat if required.
A silent retreat can feel daunting; there are a lot of unknowns. What will come up? What will happen at home while I'm away? I had a love-hate relationship with meditation. I would always fall asleep, or I stayed awake, my legs would die, and I'd be sooo uncomfortable. But I thought this retreat would help. I started small with the one-day and loved it. Then when the 5-day retreat was announced, I couldn't wait. Since then meditation has felt a lot more comfortable and familiar. Although it is still hard on certain days, I feel I have the tools and techniques to navigate the practice on my own.
