Therapy
Sometimes you need a little more support on your wellbeing journey.
We use evidence-based mind-body techniques alongside talk therapy to empower you to make choices to live a meaningful and connected life.
Group Programs
We need to feel connected, with ourselves and other people. This is why we provide both individual and group therapy. Group therapy is often more accessible and just as effective as individual therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns. Groups are held in our beautiful West Perth yoga school, or via tele-health. Our programs offer Medicare rebates to people referred under a Mental Health Care Plan.Â
Individual Appointments
Our Psychologists are compassionate, friendly and ready to support you on your journey. Their sessions are 50 minutes long and Medicare and Private Health rebates may apply. Our Psychologists see people from ages 8+ with a wide range of concerns and mental health conditions. They are all also experienced yoga and meditation teachers.
Yoga Space specialises in evidence based mind-body interventions.
The research on practices such as mindfulness, self-compassion and yoga is now extensive. Why does mindfulness or yoga help? Because you are more than a singular mental health condition. You may also have pain, asthma, trauma, hypertension or trouble sleeping. We need treatment models that are holistic - integrating mind and body. This is why we designed the 21 day Mind Body Reset Online Program.

Course: Mindful Embodiment for Trauma
In this four week program you will learn valuable skills to support Phase One of trauma treatment - safety and stabilisation. You’ll be invited to feel anchored through breath, movement and sound. There will be no discussion of, or working with traumatic memories.
Instead we gently begin to give space for inherent sense of blossoming capacity to attend to your inner experience. Without directing our attention immediately inwards - like might be done in a usual mindfulness class.
We will use, movement, music, mindfulness, behavioural activation and attentional training to support you. This course is the perfect adjunct to other trauma processing therapies such as EMDR or CBT. It’s complementary to “talk therapy” and also a place you can begin if you do not have the time, finances or capacity to engage in psychological therapy.
This course is not suitable if you are experiencing high levels of current distress, suicidal ideation or if you are experiencing significant functional challenges.
Led by experienced yoga teacher, Yoga Therapist, Provisional Psychologist and mental health researcher, Jean Byrne PhD.
