Cara Bradbury
YOGA SPACE TEACHER & ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATE
She/Her
Cara began practicing yoga in 2007, to relax and complement dance training, soon awakening to the realisation of the myriad co-benefits' yoga provides beyond the physical. After a decade in corporate roles and travelling globally she returned home to Boorloo in 2017 to complete 350hr Hatha RYT including MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) studies and NFP programs (mental illness fellowship, chair yoga, women's domestic violence centre) at the Yoga Space Perth.
Cara is experienced in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga studying in Melbourne during tough lockdowns, also taking workshops such as Yoga for Runners/Cyclists, Foundational Yoga Philosophy, and Sangha events.
Cara is an advocate for sustainability and combating climate-change working in the public sector's renewable energy space. She believes meaningful progress starts with individuals practicing embodied mindful presence to enact change at the collective level to release causes of suffering, build resilience, and find stillness in the face of adversity, namely during the climate crisis for the betterment of societal well-being.
Out of the Space, she can be seen frolicking in the ocean attempting to surf waves, running her Vizsla, or hiking bush for mental health and environmental awareness. Her plans for the future are to further studies in Yoga Therapy and Environmental Science.
Yoga Space acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, their connections to land, sea and community. We acknowledge Elders past, present and pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
