Dimithira Jani

YOGA SPACE TEACHER & ASHTANGA PRACTITIONER
She/Her

Dimi began practice in her home country of Malaysia at 23, beginning her journey at an Iyengar yoga center. What started as a way to unwind from the stress of daily life soon evolved into a deeper, lifelong practice. Over time, she explored various styles including vinyasa and hatha yoga, expanding both her physical and philosophical understanding of the discipline.

After relocating to Perth, Dimi began practicing Ashtanga yoga at The Yoga Space while balancing a career in corporate sales. She went on to complete her 350-hour teacher training at The Yoga Space, along with further training in yin yoga, restorative yoga, and mindful birth (Module One), equipping her to teach vinyasa, yin, pregnancy, and postnatal yoga. Dimi has  deepened her expertise further by undertaking trauma awareness training with Blue Knot Foundation.

Outside the studio, Dimi has worked as a disability support worker and coordinator with Inclusion WA. She is currently on a career break, pursuing postgraduate studies in counselling. A mother of two beautiful girls, Dimi’s experience of motherhood profoundly shapes her teaching and personal practice—bringing softness, patience, and presence to the mat.

Her yoga practice has really become a part of her, riding the highs in life and supporting in her lowest lows. She have always found a way back to herself through her practice in the changing phases and circumstances that life has thrown at her. This is really why she practice and why she is passionate about giving the gift of yoga back to others.

Yoga Space acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, their connections to land, sea and community. We acknowledge Elders past, present and pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
